Information We Collect


Website Usage Information: We collect IP addresses and website usage information from you to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. This information is also used to gather general demographic information for the analysis of our site traffic, usage evaluation of visitors and reports generated.


Marketing Communication Emails: If you have given us your permission to add your details to our email mailing list to keep you up to date with our products, services and events we use a third-party platform (MailChimp) which uses web beacons. When we send emails to subscribers, we may track behaviour such as who opened the emails and who clicked the links. This allows us to measure the performance of our email campaigns and to improve our features for specific segments of subscribers.


Social Media Interactions: We use a third-party provider, Hootsuite to manage some of our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via Twitter the message will be stored by Hootsuite for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.


Enquiries: When you make an enquiry, Austin Hughes will collect personally identifiable information from you including your name, company name, country, postal code, e-mail address and contact number. This contact information may be used to respond to your enquiry, communicate with regards to quotations, orders, allow us to provide pre and post-sales support. We adhere to a strict channel policy and as such, where applicable, will have to provide you with partner / distributor details. We may ask your permission to pass your details to an authorised partner to enable them to fulfil the purchasing / supply process.


Subject Access Requests: If you wish to know what information we hold for you please contact and we will provide access / confirm the details we hold. Should you decide you would like to update, amend or have your information completely deleted please notify us in writing and we will action this within 7 working days, confirming once completed.


Information that we collect and hold for you will not be passed to third parties without your permission.
